Side Effects of Careprost Eye Drop:
Ocular Irritation, Conjunctival Hyperaemia, Transient Punctate Epithelial Erosions And Eyelid Oedema. Darkening And Thickening Of The Eye Lashes May Occur.
Mechanism of Action of Careprost Eye Drop:
Bimatoprost Is A Prostamide Analogue With Ocular Hypotensive Action. It Is Postulated To Lower Intraocular Pressure By Increasing Outflow Of Aqueous Humor Through Both The Trabecular Meshwork And Uveoscleral Routes. Absorption: Serum Concentrations Peak Within 10 Minutes Of Dosing. Distribution: Moderately Distributed Into Body Tissues. Metabolism: Undergoes Oxidation, De-Ethylation And Glucuronidation. Excretion: 67% Is Excreted In The Urine And 25% In The Faeces. Elimination Half-Life: About 45 Minutes.
Special Precautions for Careprost Eye Drop:
May Increase Pigmentation Of The Iris, Periorbital Tissue And Eyelashes. Active Intraocular Inflammation. Safety And Efficacy Have Not Been Evaluated In The Treatment Of Inflammatory, Neovascular Or Angle Closure Glaucoma. Ensure At Least An Interval Of 5 Minutes Between Admin Of Ophthalmic Preparations. Contact Lenses Should Be Removed Prior To Admin. Pregnancy, Lactation.
